Obituary of Agatha Klassen

Klassen, Agatha of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, January 29, 2026. She was 83 years old. Beloved wife of the late David Klassen(2012). Dear mother of Mary Kreager, Abe Klassen(Annie), Tina Pearce(John), Peter Klassen(Betty Jo), Angie Dyck, David Klassen(Gloria), Susan Penner and Annie Loewen(Abe). She will be missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also survived by her brother Jake, sisters Anna, Mary, Trudy, Tina, Lena, Lisa and Margaret and her husband Bill Friesen of Aylmer. Predeceased by her grandson Matthew, sister Susan and brothers Isaac, Abe, John and Henry. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico on September 30, 1942, daughter of the late Abram and Agatha(Bueckert) Giesbrecht. She worked at Fleck Manufacturing in Tillsonburg for a number of years. Agatha was gifted with her hands and found joy in creating. She loved crafting and repurposing items into something new, and was an accomplished seamstress who happily mended or made clothing for her family. Generous at heart, Agatha was always willing to help others in any way she could. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday from 3-6:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Sommerfeld Mennonite Church, Mount Salem on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
