Obituary of Jacob Guenther

Guenther, Jacob of Aylmer and formerly of Vienna passed away peacefully at AgeCare, Aylmer on Sunday, January 11, 2026. He was 77 years old. Beloved husband of the late Anna(Friesen) Guenther(2014). Dear father of Peter(Helen), Susie, John(Sue), Mary(Jake), Jake, Lisa, George, Anna(Carlos) and Tina(Willy). He will be sadly missed by his sister Katharina Froese, brothers George and John Guenther, 26 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a baby son George, a sister Elisabeth and brothers Frank, Peter, Abe and Isaak Guenther.  Born in Durango, Mexico on May 12, 1948, son of the late Johan and Elisabeth (Friesen) Guenther. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday from 6-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Reinland Mennonite Church on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at  2:00 p.m. Interment, Old Colony Mennonite Cemetery.
