I just learned of Lynda's passing and am very saddened. She was dedicated to the history of Bayham and the Edison Museum in particular. I also had a chance to work with her during her time as municipal clerk to preserve records of both the former Village of Vienna and the Township of Bayham for transfer to Elgin County Archives. We had some great conversations working through those records in the former Vienna Town Hall! Her contributions to local history will at least live on. My condolences to the family.

I met Lynda when I starting working for Bayham as the curator of the Port Burwell Marine Museum. We toiled together packing up the Edison House artifacts for storage, sharing laughs, snippets of wisdom, and memories of our own lives. We supported each other as we worked to keep the history of the area present and part of the community. Rest easy, Lynda, your work is done.

I will always remember Lynda as one heck of a hard working lady, tougher than many men. She was kind, caring and fought hard through her cancer battles with a smile and heart of gold. Her kindness was never ending and she dedicated allot of time volunteering, which she was so compassionate about. I will deeply miss her, her smile and funny ways. Rest in peace Lynda.

For eight years I was honoured to have Lynda as one of our members at Eden Baptist Church. She was faithful in attendance and support. A quiet and gentle person. May God's loving presence be with each family member.

Condolences to Cheryl, Ken, Joe and their families. Many happy memories of time spent with the Millard family back in the '70's (meals after church, fishing down by the creek, playing...). Linda was a caring person with a strong work ethic and devotion to God. Blessings to you all.

Lynda was a devoted and steady presence in our little community of Calton, giving her time generously to the community centre, church, and cemetery. If Calton had street names, there’s no doubt one would proudly be called Millard Street in honour of her lifelong dedication.
