Uncle Ray was a favorite uncle of mine. Always quick with a smile, and a laugh. I delighted in hearing him and uncle Bev remembering the good old days. Our world is less without him.
With prayers of healing to Patrick, Sandra, and all the family.

I knew Ray as a neighbour when I was a kid and as a fellow employee at Durham-Walker Transport. As the only two in the terminal office (cough, cough trailer) I got to know Ray real well and enjoyed my time working with him. My condolences to Pat and Sandra and their families.

Dear Pat, Gerarda, Sandra, Rob & families…We are so sorry for the loss of your loving dad, grandfather and great-grandfather. I have so many fond memories of times our families spent together at each others houses, at family picnics and then at the annual Mackies get together. Your mom and dad were special to our family and as Kathy already mentioned they were so good to dad when he was ill. It was always nice running into your dad and getting caught up with what everyone was doing. Cherish all the memories of your special family times together. Take comfort in knowing he is reunited with your mom.

Pat, Gerarda, Sandra, Rob: We knew your dad through lawn bowling in recent years (and seniors curling for me) and we had many great conversations about family and Aylmer - a very pleasant and friendly man. Sorry for your loss but some great family memories there we're sure. Kirk and Bonnie Barons

Sending our condolences to Ray’s family. I got to know Ray and Helen through the Hewbank’s when Helen worked at their store. They were such a wonderful couple who always greeted us with a huge smile. I tried lawn bowling one year after Covid and saw Ray there bowling. He sure knew how to do that sport! Say hi to Helen up there in heaven Ray.
Sincerely
Diane (Shackleton) and Wayne Burgess

Dear Pat, Gerarda, Sandra, Rob & families…..We are so sad to learn of Uncle Ray’s passing. We have so many childhood memories of family visits between your house and ours. We always loved seeing Aunt Helen & Uncle Ray at the reunions at Mackies, at the Seniors Centre when they were square dancing or just running in to them in town. No matter when or where we saw them we were always greeted with a warm smile & a hug. They would update us on the family news….where the kids & grandkids were & what you were all doing. We will always remember how much dad loved the visits from your mom & dad during dad’s illness. They were a great support to both mom & dad and we have never forgotten their kindness. May your cherished memories bring you comfort in the days ahead.
