Obituary of Anna Blatz

Blatz, Anna of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, November 27, 2025. She was 83 years old. Beloved wife of Peter Blatz.

Loving mother of Justina Wall(Pete), Annie Letkeman(Neil), Maria Bryce, Jake Blatz(Judy), Pete Blatz(Mary), Tina Froese(Pete), John Blatz(Bonnie), Henry Blatz(Alicia) and Dave Blatz(Linda). Anna was blessed with 31 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by two sisters and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughters Susan Funk(John), Nettie Sjoerdsma(Paul), granddaughter Jennifer Funk, grandson Daniel Sjoerdsma and her brothers and sisters. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico on July 22, 1942, daughter of the late Jacob and Justina(Martens) Peters. Anna’s greatest joy was serving her family and her community. She found true happiness in preparing home-cooked meals and gathering her loved ones around the table. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday from 6-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
