Obituary of Joan Ridgwell

Ridgwell, Joan Marie of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, October 26, 2025. She was 82 years old. Cherished friend of Dave Summers. Dear mother of Bill Ridgwell(Dessie) of Winnipeg, Betty Ann Benati(Joe) of Belmont and Beverly Ridgwell Hollett(Jeff) of Cambridge. She will be missed by her friend Elfie Reiter(Mike) and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Robert Ridgwell and brothers Wayne, Jack, Thomas, Robert Taylor and sisters Shelagh Cook and Sally Lamothe. Born in Ingersoll, Ontario on January 5, 1943, daughter of the late Robert and Enid(Crane) Taylor. Joan and Dave loved taking drives together to explore the countryside. She will be fondly remembered for her warm, welcoming smile and the kindness she shared with everyone she met. The funeral service will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Cremation-burial, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
