Joan became my father’s best friend many years ago after my mother passed in 2007. They truly enjoyed each other’s company and cared deeply for the others well being. They kept each other company & shared lots of laughs. She will be truly missed by many. Rest easy & be at peace sweet lady.

Joan was a good friend of my sister Mary before she passed. They were always laughing together. Joan volunteered for many many years at the nursing home that is called Age Care now. I always enjoyed seeing Joan come in while I was working, we always shared a joke or two and a good laugh. Dave and Joan would come in to the birthday parties at the home and the residents always loved watching them dance. Joan told me she was going to miss me when I retired but I would run into Dave and Joan at Studers having their ice cream cones. Joan was a wonderful and loving person with a heart of gold.

Joan was my grandfather's second love. She brought so much joy to the quiet times in my grandpa's life. Every night for the past 13 years at 4:30pm, cane in one hand and bag of food in the other, I have watched my grandfather head down the street and over to Joan's for a evening of food and laughter together. He took care of her, and she took care of him. She his ears and him her eyes. Joan never let her blindness bring her down, she was one of the happiest people in every room she entered. She was quite the dancer!! She knitted many beautiful blankets, tukes , gloves for grandpa over the years as well as some for his family members and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by many.

Joan and Dave loved to dance. That not only was for their enjoyment but those other dancers looked forward to seeing them. They enjoyed each other’s company for many happy years.

To Joan’s family and closest friends and her love Dave
I move in the building where Joan lived right across from her . She was one of the tenets I meant . I told her to look at me with her hands , and she said my you are very tall, and beautiful hair, she was the sunshine of this building , she would always say hi, if she heard someone in the hallway walking by , Joan would
Visit her friend Rita next door and she would
Read(Rita the paper to her . Thursday Joe would give her papers to deliver on the main floor . The markets . And at night Dave would leave and whistle and Joan would say I love you . Before the whistle would go away .
Joan had the most wonderful hugs , the sweetest kindest loving caring lady in this building . She will be miss by all of us . Now she is with our Father in heaven , and she is looking down at us all smiling with so many blessing .
I am so privileged of knowing her . Till we meet again Joan
Love you Lynn-Marie Langford Apt 104
