Obituary of Gary Roels
Roels, Gary of Jeannette's Creek and more recently Belmont, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 5th 2025. He was 63 years old. Devoted husband of 40 years to Linda (Siddall) Roels. Dedicated and loving Dad of Jill Laraway (Chad) of Tillsonburg. Proud Papa to Olivia and Liam. Master of dad jokes and quiet sideline encouragement at every sports game/tournament he could attend.
He will be missed by his brother Ralph Roels (Renee) and his in-laws Michael Siddall and Kim Roesch (Dan). Also survived by a number of cherished cousins, niece Ashlynne, nephew Jeffrey and godson Victor.
Gary was born in St Thomas, Ontario on January 18th, 1962. Son of the late Jacques "Jake" & Blanche (Derynck) Roels, with much of his extended family in Belgium to this day. Gary was a hardworking man who spent his working years in the automotive industry. He had a green thumb and was known for keeping his yard meticulously beautiful. The envy of the neighbourhood. He was an avid sports fan and dedicated to his favorite teams; the Detroit Red Wings, London Knights and Toronto Blue Jays. Everyone who had the privilege to meet Gary enjoyed his company, quiet demeanor and kindness.
Gary will be forever loved and deeply missed each and every day.
A private family celebration of life will be held at H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, in Aylmer. Donations can be made to Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charity or Canadian Mental Health Association.
