Obituary of Charlie Jenkins

Jenkins, Charlie of R.R. #1 Belmont passed away with his family by his side at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, June 2, 2025, a day short of his 67th birthday. Beloved husband of Betty(Smeaton) Jenkins. Dear father of Jessica(Rob) and Michael. Brother of Donna Ripley(Jack), Betty Butcher(Brent) and Gordon Jenkins(Ruth). He will be missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Born in London, Ontario on June 3, 1958, son of the late Donald and Leila(Smith) Jenkins. Charlie dedicated his life to farming, a dairy farmer from sunrise to sunset with unwavering passion and perseverance. He and his family built a life together on Monoak Farms, where he raised his purebred Holsteins, crops and his children with love and dedication. Charlie was a Master Breeder of the Holstein Breeders Association of Canada who had a passion for breeding Holstein cows and was an encyclopedia of Holstein history. He was a past president of the Holstein club, a leader for 30 years of the 4H Belmont Dairy club, an active member of the Belmont United Church and an agricultural representative of the Elgin County Museum Advisory Committee. Visitation will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. and Saturday from 12-1 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Dorchester Union Cemetery.
