Obituary of Phyllis Howey

Howey, Phyllis formerly a longtime resident of Aylmer, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Elgin Manor on Saturday, March 8, 2025. She was 88 years old. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Howey(2022) for over 63 years. Loving mother of the late Richard Howey(2022)(Cathy), Nancy Miedema(Rick) of St. Thomas and Kevin Howey(Rhonda) of St. Thomas. Grandmother of Jesse and Lindsay. Dear sister of Harold Brown(Shirley), Fred Brown(Cathy) and Sharon Brown.  Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Don Brown(late Ella Mae) and Doreen Ward(late Jim) and a sister Bonnie Holmes(Phil). Born in Tillsonburg, Ontario on December 1, 1936, daughter of the late Leslie and Evelyn(Clarke) Brown. Phyllis loved her orange cat Benny Boy. She will be remembered for her warm smile and loved going for a walk on Talbot Street. Visitation will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday from 5-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
