Obituary of Paul Valliere

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Joseph Valliere in his 78th year on February 12, 2025 at his home in Vienna, Ontario. 

Paul had a long career in the Ontario Provincial Police.  He joined the force in 1970 and served on the TRU Team (Tactical Rescue Unit) until 1985 when he transferred to the Security Branch. In 1989 he was promoted to Sergeant. In 1990 he transferred to Intelligence Branch then into the Investigation Division where he became a police polygraph examiner.  He retired from the OPP in October 1998 as a Detective Sergeant.

He had several jobs after retiring including ski patrol, bus driver and had his own private investigation company. Paul was an outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing for most of his life. He lived many years in both the London and Orillia area, and was a lover of all animals.

Paul was born in St Catherines, Ontario, and was predeceased by his parents Romeo and Aline (nee Dugas) Valliere. Also predeceased by his older brother Maurice.  He is survived by his partner Molly Snider of Vienna, sister Diane Losier of St Catherines, brother Ted Valliere of Ottawa, sister Anne Marie Jackson of Calgary AB and sister in law Margrit Richardson.

Survived also by his two daughters Jennifer Valliere and Denise Valliere, along with grandchildren Abigale Valliere, Ryli Valliere, Or'ryn Macdonald and Gae'bel Macdonald along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He will be sorely missed by his family and friends and all those who knew and loved him. He leaves behind his best buddy Ollie, the overgrown beagle. Following Paul's directions, there will be no service.
